Department of Textile Engineering (DTE) is keen to establish and maintain a close relationship with the Textile Testing Laboratories in Bangladesh. In this regard, the Treasurer, Head of DTE along with three faculty members led by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi visited the Hohenstein Laboratories Bangladesh Limited on 30 September 2021. Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Regional Chief (South East Asia) of Hohenstein cordially welcomed the team of AUST. Ms. Johny Jasmin Kanta, General Manager of Hohenstein, Bangladesh showed the in-house testing facilities and briefly presented the services provided by Hohenstein.

DTE, AUST expressed interest in future collaboration with Hohenstein, Bangladesh as the former is open to establishing a connection with Textile testing laboratories not only for mutual benefits but also for sharing knowledge. Hohenstein, Bangladesh also showed the similar interest and agreed exploring supportive scopes for students to establish collaboration in near future.
