AUST EEE Program Reaccredited by BAETE for Another Six Years

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), is proud to announce that its undergraduate EEE Program has been reaccredited by the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE), Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), for the period 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2031.

This reaccreditation reflects the department's continued commitment to academic excellence, outcome-based education, and continuous quality improvement in engineering education.

On 20 July 2026, after officially receiving the accreditation certificate, the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Bobby Barua, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Md. Meganur Rahman, Prof. Dr. Md. Shariful Islam, and members of the Program Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC), formally presented the certificate to Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of AUST.

BAETE accreditation is a prestigious recognition that shows the EEE Program meets national standards for engineering education. It confirms the quality of the curriculum, teaching, assessment methods, laboratory facilities, and continuous improvement practices. It also increases the program's credibility among employers, universities, and professional organizations.

For graduates, BAETE accreditation adds value to their degree and improves opportunities for employment, higher studies, professional registration, and international careers. Since BAETE is a signatory to the International Mutual Recognition Agreement under the Washington Accord, graduates of accredited programs receive wider recognition of their engineering qualifications in other Washington Accord member economies.

The Department of EEE extends its sincere appreciation to the university administration, faculty members, students, alumni, and all stakeholders for their dedication and collective efforts that contributed to this significant accomplishment. The department remains committed to advancing excellence in engineering education and producing competent engineers for the nation and beyond.
