AUST Pro VC Prof. Dr. Mahbubur Rahman wins Baku International Architecture Award

Professor Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), has won the Sixth Baku International Architecture Award for his book, ‘City of an Architect’.

Azarbaijan Union of Architects gives this award under the auspices of UIA (International Union of Architects) every 4 years. The book describes traditional architecture of Dhaka, during the Mughal and Colonial periods from a layman’s perspective and uses sketches of 163 buildings done by architecture students of North South University and University Technology Malaysia.

The 371-page book was published by Delvista Foundation in 2011. Part of the contents was serialized by the Daily Star Campus during 2006.
