A day long program held at AUST to bid farewell to the outgoing students of AUST (Spring-2009) on 06 August 2009 at the permanent Campus of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). The program started with the taking of oath by the Students. The program was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of AUST Professor Dr. M Anwar Hossain. The students participated in the program actively. It was an open day for the parents and guardian of the outgoing student. They visited various facilities developed at the newly built permanent Campus of AUST. The Heads of the Departments received the parents/guardians warmly and discussed various issues over a cup of tea.

Farewell of the outgoing students of each Department was held also by the Head of the respective Departments along with the faculty members in their class rooms. various aspects of professional career were explained to them and they were asked to remain in touch with their departments. At 3:00 P.M. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M Anwar Hossain accorded farewell to all the outgoing students on behalf of AUST. The out going students, teachers, officers and employees of AUST attended program. The program started with recitation from the Holy Quran. A bunch of balloon was released at the starting of this session by Professor Dr M Anwar Hossain. Opening remarks were made by DSW, Prof. Dr. Md. Anwarul Mustafa. After that two outgoing students also delivered their feelings. The VC said in his speech that all time we must keep our words and perform accordingly. He also said to the outgoing students that, You are not leaving the university. You will be the proud alumni of the university and always remain in touch with your Alma Meter. You are just going to enter into another world. He wished them all success and peace in life. In this session Prof. Dr. Jasmin Ara Begum, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Prof. Dr. S.M. Kabir, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. A.M. Shadullah, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering also spoke. After the Speech of Vice-Chancellor a farewell cake was cutted by Vice-Chancellor along with the Deans and the students. Last of all a cultural function was held also.
