CSE Thesis & Poster Exhibition, Spring 2025, AUST


The CSE Thesis & Poster Exhibition of Spring 2025 semester organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), was successfully held on June 18, 2026 (Thursday) at the M.H. Khan Auditorium. The event brought together 27 undergraduate thesis groups from Batch 48, providing a platform for students to showcase their research outcomes and innovative solutions through poster presentations.

The exhibition featured two parallel poster presentation streams to accommodate the diverse range of research topics. Stream A focused on AI for Healthcare, Language, and Intelligent Systems, while Stream B highlighted research on Smart Cities, Vision, Security, and Applied AI Systems. Throughout the exhibition, students presented their research findings and demonstrated the significance and practical impact of their projects to the invited judges, faculty members, and fellow students.

The event was graced by the presence of the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Treasurer & Pro Vice-Chancellor (In-charge), Prof. Dr. S.M.A. Al-Mamun, Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, along with other distinguished faculty members of the CSE department. They visited the exhibition, observed the poster presentations, interacted with the participating students, and discussed their research work in detail. The dignitaries appreciated the quality and diversity of the projects and offered valuable suggestions and encouragement to the students for further enhancing their research and innovation. The exhibition reflected the department's commitment to promoting undergraduate research, innovation, and practical problem-solving through modern computing technologies.

The event commenced with lunch and prayer, followed by the poster presentation sessions. Faculty members of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering visited the posters, interacted with the participating students, and appreciated the quality and diversity of the research works presented. The exhibition reflected the department's commitment to promoting undergraduate research, innovation, and practical problem-solving through modern computing technologies.

To ensure a comprehensive and impartial evaluation, the projects were assessed by a distinguished panel of external judges from academia and industry. The panel included Dr. Tonmoy Hossain, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital; Md. Anowar Hossain, Senior Software Engineer, Cefalo Bangladesh Limited; Raihan Ur Rashid, Lead Engineer, Cybernetics Hi-Tech Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd.; Mainuddin Talukdar, AI Integration Engineer, Turing; and Md. Zamiur Rahman Ratul, Principal Software Engineer, Robi Axiata PLC. Their expertise in software engineering, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, telecommunications, computer vision, and intelligent systems greatly enriched the evaluation process. The judges engaged in constructive discussions with the students, providing valuable feedback, technical insights, and recommendations for future improvements.

Following the completion of the evaluation, a prize-giving ceremony was held at the M.H. Khan Auditorium. The ceremony commenced with a welcome address by the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, followed by the distribution of awards and certificates to the winning teams. The Head of the Department and the distinguished judges also shared their valuable remarks, encouraging students to continue pursuing research and innovation. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks and a group photo session.

A total prize fund of BDT 16,000 was awarded to the winning projects in recognition of their outstanding research contributions and presentation quality. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering expressed its sincere appreciation to all participating students, supervisors, external judges, faculty members, and organizing committee members for their valuable support in making the Undergraduate Research Poster Exhibition 2026 a successful and memorable event.
