The final of SOFE Bangladesh Round 2022 took place on 1^st December 2022. The best presenters from multiple universities in Bangladesh participated. At the end of the long-running competition, a champion and a 1^st runner-up were decided as finalists. Congratulations to both of them. However, contributing to our joy, the 1^st runner-up was from our beloved Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. Our heartfelt congratulations to Shimanto Sarker from the ME Program of Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE). In addition to receiving £200 as reward, he will have the chance to represent Bangladesh in the South Asia Regional Round 2022 in India.

The campus round of SOFE 2022 was held in Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology via online submission on November 15^th and through the selection process two participants, Shimanto Sharker and Chowdhury Emad Uddin Dhiman, 4^th-year students from the ME Program of the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering were selected. The department has inspired and sparked the motivation for them to take part in representing AUST and Bangladesh.

Shimanto Sarker will take a flight to Goa on the 17^th of December, 2022 in order to participate in the South Asia round of SOFE. Best wishes from the IMechE AUST Student Chapter are with him.
