On October 22, 2022, Dhaka University organized the first Research-Publication Fair in its century-long history at the Central Playground. The best research paper award of the event went to Ms. Parul Akhter, Associate Professor, School of Business, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, and Dr. Faruq Ahmed, Professor, Department of Management Studies, Dhaka University for their research titled "Impact of Financial Management Decisions on the Profitability of Microfinance Institutions in Bangladesh".  The research paper was published in the Journal of Management of Dhaka University – a special issue on “Building Organizational Sustainability and Resilience” for celebrating the 100^th anniversary of the University and the 50^th anniversary of the Independence of Bangladesh. The award was given by Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka on October 23, 2022.
