The prize distribution ceremony of the Literary and Cultural Week of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Teachers Training College was held at 3:00 P.M. in the College Campus on 25 January 2008.

Prof. Dr. M. Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chancellor, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) was the chief guest on the occasion, while Prof. Muhammad Eltas Uddin, former Chairman of National Curriculum and Text Book Board presided over the function. Mr. M. Ehsanur Rahman, Deputy Executive Director, Dhaka Ahsania Mission was present as the special guest.

Ms. Fatema Khatun, Acting Principal, Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Teachers Training College delivered the address of welcome.

Prof. Dr. M. Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chancellor, AUST in his speech said that the nation could be saved by those who ignite the light of knowledge. He emphasized on appropriate vision which will have to be materialized by the students and the teachers can play a very important role in this regard. He further said, obtaining the certificate should not be the sole aim of the students. They should also aim to develop a sense of responsibility among themselves.

The prizes among the winners were distributed by the Vice-chancellor of AUST.

The Literary and Cultural Week commenced on 18 January, 2008. Debate, recitation, solo acting, Rabindra and Nazrul sangeet, modern song, exhibition of wall magazine, indoor and outdoor games competition etc. were the events of the week.
