A two days long teachers orientation program was held at the Seminar Room of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) on 5 & 6 June, 2013. Prof Dr. M. H. Khan, Former vice-Chancellor of BUET and Founder VC of AUST delivered the inaugural speech. Prof. AUST Treasurer Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam coordinated the program. The program was organized for Assistant Professors and Lecturers who were recruited during Spring 2012, Fall 2012 and Spring 2013. Newly appointed teachers who attended the orientation program were lectured on pedagogy, teaching-learning process, quality management in higher education etc. 

In inaugural speech, Prof. Dr. M.H. Khan shared his teaching experience and talked on various issues related to teaching learning process and education system in abroad & in our country. He also mentioned in his speech teaching as a noble profession that engineering teaching faculties have to visit industries in order to enhance his quality and knowledge area. It is a vital duty for a teacher that he not only has to teach the students but also make them learn. He also said, A teacher has to be actor sometimes and has to maintain his status above the students.

Prof. Dr. A. M. M. Safiullah, Vice Chancellor of AUST delivered a valuable lecture on teaching and learning methodologies in front of houseful participants. He covered the various aspects of teaching and learning such as Pedagogy, Teaching Methodology, Teaching & Learning Process, Goal Selection, Preparing Lesson Plan for Classes, Accreditation of Engineering Programs and Enhancing Quality of Education, How to Ensure the Higher Levels of Learning, Self-assessment and Quality Enhancement Practice, Developing Curricula, Managing Academic Program, Graduate Attributes, Issues relating to Ethics & Conflict Resolution etc

In the orientation program, Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer of AUST spoke on Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (R.) and Dhaka Ahsania Mission: Our Sponsor. 

Prof. Dr. Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer of AUST delivered a lecture on various issues related to teaching profession such as Students Evaluation, Conducting Examinations, Class Tests, Continuous Assessment, Setting Questions, Marking Scripts, Advising and Monitoring Students Performance etc. 

Prof. Dr. M. Shahabuddin, Proctor of AUST spoke in the program on University Rules & Regulations on Academic and Administrative Issues, Services Rules, and Leadership Development. Professors and teachers from different departments, Advisor of Students Welfare along with Employees of AUST were present in the program.
