Team JuteX, from Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering,
Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology,
has shown off their first prototype for a jute fiber bicycle

The team announced their prototype has passed all the basic mechanical tests from BUET. They hope the new technology will help to "rejuvenate the Jute Mills of Bangladesh and its 25,000 workers". Earlier Team JuteX won Hult Prize Regional Championship, Vietnam 2020, and was in the best 30 teams around the world in Hult Prize Global Accelerator Round.
As their bicycle is made of Jute, so they think by their startup they are going to bring an evolutionary change in the environment and society as well.
