Success Story of AUST CSE Graduate


A core faculty member of the cybersecurity center at the University of Missouri-Columbia
Dr. Khaza Anuarul Hoque is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) where he directs the Dependable Cyber-Physical Systems (DCPS) Laboratory. He is also a core faculty member of the cybersecurity center at MU. He received his MS and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2011 and 2016, respectively. Dr. Hoque received his B.Sc. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2007. Before joining MU, he was a postdoctoral research fellow (2016-17) at the University of Oxford, UK. He is the recipient of many national and Internation awards for his scholarly activities which includes the FRQNT Postdoctoral Fellowship Award from Fonds de Recherche du Quebec - Nature et Technologies (FQRNT), Canada (2016-2018), Concordia Accelerator Award (2015), FRQNT Doctoral Research Award from Fonds de Recherche du Quebec - Nature et Technologies (FQRNT), Canada (2012-2015), Best Paper Award from IEEE International NEWCAS Conference, Canada, 2011, Student Travel Award from NASA Ames Research Center, USA (2010), and many others. His research interests include Formal Methods, Cyber-physical Systems, Cybersecurity, and Safe AI/ML. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a member of ACM, and AAAS.
