Civil Engineering

The Orientation program of Civil Engineering Department was held on 14 June 2026. The program was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at room no. 2A06. The event was organized to welcome the newly admitted students and provide them with an overview of the department. The Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Fatema-Tuz-Zahura, presided over the ceremony as Chief Guest. All the faculty members of the Department were present in the ceremony to welcome the freshers. The program commenced with a presentation slide that introduced the newly admitted students to the faculty members and staff. A power point presentation showed a detailed overview of the laboratory facilities and their respective locations. Dr. Fahim Hossain, Associate Professor, subsequently introduced the department’s rules, regulations, and marking system. The formal session concluded with a series of speeches delivered by the respected professors of the department, including Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Treasurer, AUST, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Matin, Dean of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Registrar (In-Charge) and Prof. Dr. Shahid Mamun. In the end, the honorable Head of the Department Prof. Dr. Fatema-Tuz-Zahura interacted with the students and advised them how to run their upcoming academic years smoothly. After interaction with the students the respected Professors met the guardians of the students at room no. 3A07 and exchanged greetings with them.

At the end of the program, the Department of Civil Engineering handed over several gifts to the students i.e., flower, bag, pen, pencil and other stuffs. The program concluded by giving lunch box to all of them.
