The Department of Civil Engineering, AUST, was delighted to host a heartwarming Book Handover Ceremony on July 1, 2026, as BSRM Steels Limited generously donated copies of the acclaimed reference book “Reinforcement for Modern Concrete Structures” to the department. Authored by Prof. Dr. Khan Mahmud Amanat of the Department of Civil Engineering, BUET, and published internationally by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, the book is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for students, academicians, and practicing professionals in the field of concrete and structural engineering. The book was formally handed over by BSRM Group, and was received with gratitude by Prof. Dr. Fatema-Tuz-Zahura, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, AUST. The ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished members of the university community, including Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Treasurer and Pro Vice-Chancellor (In-charge) of AUST, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Matin, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Several respected professors from the Department of Civil Engineering were also present to witness the occasion, lending the event a warm and collegial atmosphere.
