School of Business organized Industrial Tour to A-ONE POLAR LTD


As a co-curricular activity, the School of Business, AUST has arranged an Industrial Tour for the Accounting-major students of the 42nd and 43rd batches of the BBA Program to enhance the theoretical knowledge in the practice area that complies with the recent development in the core teaching method OBE. The tour was held on Saturday, February 04, 2023. A group of 31 students and three faculty members visited A- ONE POLAR LTD (Concern of Micro Fibre Group) in Narayangonj, Bangladesh. The tour was guided by the three faculty members of the School of Business: Assistant Professor Mr. Shak Forid, Ms. Nazma Akter, and Md. Saheb Ali Mondal.

Students were experienced with the practical knowledge of the production and management systems of A- ONE POLAR LTD’s garment manufacturing unit, in Narayangonj, Bangladesh. The students met with high-ranking officials of the A-ONE POLAR LTD. (Concern of Micro Fibre Group). They helped the students smoothly transfer knowledge by providing guidance. They divide our total students into 4 groups headed by one guide. The guide helped the students get ideas from different sections like Knitting, Dyeing, Printing, Garments, and the entire production process. Finally, they visited a real-life ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) for ensuring sustainability.

The students got the chance to ask questions to the high officials. They raised the different issues including costing, import-export, followed strategies at COVID 19 situation and feedback was excellent and they learnt a lot. The authority shared the views, how the students can develop themselves as an official or an entrepreneur.
