On 24 August 2026, a cohort of 90 students from Batch 49 of the BBA Program, School of Business, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) participated in an academic field visit to PRAN Industrial Park, Narsingdi. The visit was organized to provide students with firsthand exposure to large-scale industrial operations and to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical business practices.

The visit commenced with a corporate orientation and operational briefing at PRAN’s Training Centre, where students gained insights into the organization’s industrial operations and the coordination of different business functions. The session helped students understand how production, quality management, supply chain, logistics, human resources, and other functional areas contribute to overall organizational performance. Following the orientation, students participated in guided visits to the Chocolate & Confectionery Unit, Bubble Gum Unit, and Bakery Unit, as well as the riverside logistics and jetty area. During the factory visits, students observed various stages of the manufacturing process, including production-line operations, raw-material handling, quality control, packaging, process efficiency, and industrial safety practices. The practical exposure enabled students to relate academic concepts from operations management, supply chain management, quality management, and organizational behavior to real-world industrial practices.

The visit to the riverside logistics and jetty area provided students with an understanding of the importance of transportation, logistics coordination, and efficient movement of materials and products within an integrated supply chain. This experience demonstrated how manufacturing and logistics operations work together to ensure efficiency and continuity in large-scale business activities.

The field visit also encouraged students to observe workplace practices, teamwork, operational discipline, and the importance of coordination in achieving organizational objectives. Such experiential learning opportunities help develop students’ practical knowledge, professional awareness, analytical skills, and understanding of career opportunities in the manufacturing and business sectors. The visit concluded with a stop at PRAN’s factory retail outlet, where participants received a 30% discount, followed by lunch and departure.

The field visit was conducted under the guidance and supervision of the respected faculty members: Professor Dr. Parul Akhter, Head of the Department; Dr. Md. Saheb Ali Mondal, Associate Professor; Mr. Md. Shak Forid, Assistant Professor; Ms. Rifat Parveen Bokhari, Assistant Professor; Ms. Afrin Sultana, Lecturer Grade-I; and Mr. Amirul Islam, Lecturer Grade-II. The PRAN Industrial Park Field Visit 2026 reflects the School of Business, AUST’s commitment to experiential and industry-oriented education. By connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world industrial practices, the visit provided students with a meaningful learning experience and strengthened the industry–academia connection.
