'Circuit Maesters' presents the progress in building the first Driverless Electric Vehicle of Bangladesh


‘Circuit Maesters’, a Formula Student Team aimed to build the first Self-Driving car of Bangladesh, presented their progress in presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi, Vice-Chancellor, AUST on 21 December, 2023. Prof. Dr. Tareq Aziz, Head, EEE and faculty advisors of the team, Prof. Dr. A K M Ehtesanul Islam and Prof. Dr. Omar Farrok from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) were present during this session. The team presented their year end and next year roadmap to the Formula Student UK 2025 Artificial Intelligence segment and got appreciated by everyone. The team’ Circuit Maesters’, formed by the students of AUST, has received numerous motivational, technical and financial support from AUST and has been continuously working towards building the self-driving car since the beginning of the year 2020.

Circuit Maesters has structured the team into 5 groups, and each group has set several milestones to achieve. At the helm of the student team is Mumshad Nahiyan, serving as the Team Leader, and Tasnemul Hasan Nehal as the Deputy Team Leader. Within the specialized Chassis Design & Fabrication (CDF) group, Shahidul Haque Afgani takes on the role of Deputy Group Leader, while Hossain M Yousuf assumes the position of Chief Designer. Notably, both Shahidul Haque Afgani and Hossain M Yousuf are from the Mechanical Engineering program, adding a multidisciplinary dimension to the team. The Electronic System Group is driven by the expertise of Nazmul Haque and Mahfuzur Rahman Talukder, while the Artificial Intelligence Group is powered by the insights of Md Faraz Kabir Khan and Rusab Sarmun. Sazzad Hossen is working on the Powertrain System Group. Additionally, Masroor Wahed Raiyan and Sadia Jahan, both from the Industrial and Production Engineering program, excel in the Business Logic Case Group.

The ‘Circuit Measters’ team has achieved a significant milestone in the creation of Bangladesh's first self-driving electric vehicle by successfully crafting the vehicle's chassis. This accomplishment reflects the team's dedication, ingenuity, and continuous efforts in planning and patience. Notably, they proudly showcase their innovative strides in electric car technology, including a self-built battery management system. Furthermore, their ambitious journey doesn't stop here, as more tasks are currently underway, promising exciting developments in the ongoing pursuit of creating a groundbreaking self-driving electric vehicle.
