The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) successfully organized ElectraXhibit 2.0: Project Showcase and Competition on 29 September 2026 at the M. H. Khan Auditorium, AUST. Organized as part of the EEE 3100: Fundamentals of Electrical Design course, the event featured 27 innovative student projects covering diverse fields, including robotics, artificial intelligence, power systems, communication, electronics, automation, and assistive technologies.
The exhibition provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their technical knowledge, creativity, and practical engineering skills through working prototypes and project presentations. The projects reflected the students' efforts to develop engineering solutions addressing real-world challenges.
The 27 participating projects were divided into two groups and evaluated by two distinguished judging panels comprising faculty members from AUST and external experts from industry and academia.
The first judging panel comprised Dr. Safayet Al Imam, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, AUST; Mr. Md Adnan Quaium, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, AUST; and Mr. Nasir Hossain, IoT System Engineer, ADN DigiNet Ltd.
The second judging panel comprised Dr. Md. Tashfiq Bin Kashem, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, AUST; Dr. Shah Md. Salimullah, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, AUST; and Mr. Md. Shariar Hossain Sadi, Lecturer, Department of EEE, BRAC University.
During the exhibition, students presented their projects and demonstrated their prototypes, engaging in technical discussions with the judges and visitors. The event concluded with a prize-giving ceremony attended by Prof. Dr. Md. Meganur Rhaman, Head of the Department of EEE, AUST.
Following the evaluation, four outstanding projects received awards in recognition of their innovative approaches and engineering contributions:
1st Prize Winning Team: Md. Shahriar Kabir, Ismail Noor Pranto, Asif Mahbub, Mahir Faisal, and Aaryan Zaman. Project: Input to Mechanical Braille Conversion System for the Visually Impaired to Aid in Their Reading.
2nd Prize Winning Team: Ariyan Siddique, Tanveer Zubair, Nuruzzaman Riad, Neamul Pial, Adnan Aman, and Mahira Binte Mahmud. Project: Cost Efficient and Portable High Frequency Inverter with IoT Features.
