Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Daikin Airconditioning India Private Ltd. (DAIPL) on 4^th April, 2023. The signing ceremony took place at the VC seminar room of AUST. Deputy MD of DAIPL Mr. Francis Louis and the Treasurer of AUST, Prof. Dr. Mustafizur Rahman signed the MOU for DAIPL and AUST, respectively. Among others, the Vice Chancellor of AUST, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazle Ilahi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Mahbubur Rahman, Head of the Mechanical and Production Engineering department, AUST, Prof. Dr. Mazharul Islam, GM overseas of DAIPL, Mr. Jayant Jawa were present at the event. Among the distinguished guests, Vice President of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Prof. Dr. Abu Tweb Abu Ahmed and renowned Professor member of Board of Trustees of AUST, Dr. M. Shamsher Ali were present at the event.

As per the MOU, DAIPL, in collaboration with the MPE department of AUST, will establish the AUST-Daikin Center of Excellence at the AUST campus. Daikin’s state-of-the-art products and ideas will be showcased at the center which will be utilized to train the students of AUST. The purpose of the center is to prepare the students for the HVAC industry through theoretical and practical skills training.
