Mechanical and Production Engineering

A webinar on “Career Talk: Roadmap to BCS and Beyond” was held on January 27, 2023. This program is the 6^th installment of the “Career Talk” series of the IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter. The guest speaker was Mr. S.M. Shafaat Akhter Nur, former Lecturer, MPE, AUST. He is currently working as the Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate at Lalmonirhat.

The registration form was opened on the 23^rd of January 2023 and 114 participants registered before the deadline of the 27^th of January 2023. It was an interactive session with our speaker where he shared his experience of the preparation that he went through for the 40^th BCS exam and how undergraduate engineering students should start working on their preparation by studying the said subjects under the curriculum. Besides, he answered many important questions from the audience via zoom and which provided clarification for many common misconceptions & confusions regarding this sector. Starting at 9:35 PM, the session ended at 12:25 AM.

Besides, the appearance of the respected faculty members of MPE, AUST valued the webinar highly. The organizers are especially thankful to Md. Adib Rahman, Faculty Advisor, IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter for his enormous contribution. The webinar ended with the goal that was set to let everyone get encouraged with BCS and how to take part in BCS which will, later on, secure a perfect job life.
