This visit gave IPE students an opportunity to see large-scale industrial operations up close and learn about practical manufacturing processes related to their studies.

Students observed the entire cement production process, from raw material handling to clinker production, grinding, and packaging. They learned about fly ash-free cement, which offers better strength and durability. The visit also included a detailed explanation of the Vertical Roller Mill (VRM) system, a modern and energy-efficient technology that combines grinding, drying, and material separation into one process.

Next, students visited ๐๐ค๐ข๐ฃ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ข๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐ญ๐. where they watched the production of polypropylene woven cement bags. They saw each stage, from raw granules to extrusion, weaving, cutting, stitching, and quality inspection. The differences between 1-ply and 2-ply bags were explained, focusing on their strength and durability for carrying cement. The facility’s automation and quality control measures were also highlighted.
The visit helped students understand how industrial processes are integrated and optimized, as well as how manufacturing units coordinate within the supply chain. Faculty members accompanied the students, linking what they saw to relevant academic topics. It was a valuable learning experience that will benefit students in their future studies and careers by connecting theory with real-world industry practices.
