Students from 3rd year 1st semester developed “Advanced Ergonomic Solo Stretcher” as a project in Product Design and Development Sessional


Advanced Ergonomic Solo Stretcher” is an advance stretcher that can speed up the patient transportation system in any emergency situation or rescue operation. Through extensive market research and testing, Advanced Ergonomic Solo Stretcher was the solution that was developed. The final product “Advanced Ergonomic Solo Stretcher” is a product that can be easily operated by one person. This product holds the potential to improve the current situation of emergency medical care in our country. People face diverse challenges including variable terrains, limited resources and manpower and the need for swift response during emergencies. It can easily be operated by one person, once the victim is strapped to it, a rescuer can ergonomically carry and wheel it away with little effort. Its adjustable ergonomic design, foldability and lightweight and other features ease the rescue operation for the rescuer. Overall, an ergonomic stretcher can be revolutionary in the context of health care sector of Bangladesh. TTI (Tools and Technology Institute) of BITAC approved this project for R&D and further Commercialization.
