The AUST Mechanical Society organized a seminar on the topic of career paths in the Power Industry. The seminar took place in VC Seminar room on the 24^th of January at 3 pm. Honorable 𝐌𝐝. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝 was the guest speaker for our event "𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲". He serves as an Executive Director for North West Power Generation Company and is one of the top professionals in his area, an enterprise of Bangladesh Power Development Board, he has made remarkable accomplishments and raised the standard with a legacy for others.

The main focus of the topic was to point engineering students in the right direction towards having a good career in the power industry, also to make them aware of the responsibilities of directing, supervising, guiding, and planning all mechanical maintenance activities including the safety and environmental management activities in the power plant. Md. Abdus Samad discussed with the students his extensive experience working in Bangladesh's power plant industry and offered valuable professional advice.
