Mechanical and Production Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE) has successfully organized a series of presentations titled “Pathway to Research Culture” where both the IEOM Society AUST Student Chapter and IMechE AUST Student Chapter have worked collaboratively.

The 1^st seminar of the series titled “Combinatorial Innovations (re)Purposed toward Massively Counterintuitive Progress or (peril) for us all" was organized on 8^th August 2022 at 3:00 PM in the VC seminar room of AUST and also streamed via Zoom platform. Dr. Gulam Samdani, Scholar, Engineer, and Management Consultant of McKinsey & Company, was the guest speaker of the seminar. He is a highly experienced person who works in various roles, and his shared knowledge has left an imprint on the participants’ minds. Along with him, the head of the MPE department, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sarwar Morshed was present as the program chair, the Vice Chancellor of AUST, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Ilahi was chief guest, Pro Vice Chancellor of AUST, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman was one of the special guests and the Vice Chancellor of UAP, Prof. Dr. Qumrul Ahsan as another special guest were present. Besides, the faculty members and the students of AUST also attended the seminar.
