As part of an academic initiative of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), 20 students of the 4th Year, 2nd Semester (4.2) visited Polygon Technology on 30 August 2026. The program was arranged to expose final-year students to professional software practice and connect classroom learning with the realities of the technology industry.
Program Proceedings

Upon arrival, the AUST delegation was warmly received by the Polygon Technology team and seated in the session area. Refreshments and snacks were served before the formal program began, creating a welcoming environment for interaction between students, faculty members, and company representatives.
The main technical session was led by the company’s software engineering leadership. Students were introduced to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the practical flow of requirement analysis, planning, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, bug fixing, and continuous improvement. The discussion emphasized that professional software development depends on teamwork, quality assurance, documentation, communication, and long-term product support—not only coding.
Industry Guidance and Career Motivation
Fahim Ahmed, Co-Founder and CTO of Polygon Technology, addressed the students about the company, the future direction of the technology industry, and the importance of practical skills, adaptability, and continuous learning. The Human Resources team also remained engaged throughout the visit, giving students valuable exposure to workplace communication, organizational culture, teamwork, and expectations for new graduates.
Academic Value for AUST Students
The visit helped AUST CSE students relate classroom concepts to a real software-development environment. Students gained a clearer understanding of SDLC, testing and maintenance, team-based development, professional communication, and the need to align technical skills with industry requirements. For students nearing graduation, the sessions also provided useful career motivation and a more realistic picture of professional life.
AUST–Industry Connection and Closing
A major outcome of the program was the positive connection created between AUST and Polygon Technology. Such engagement can open opportunities for future technical talks, workshops, career guidance, mentoring, and other academic-industry collaboration. At the end of the program, the AUST delegation presented gifts and tokens of appreciation to the Polygon Technology team in gratitude for their hospitality and guidance.

Acknowledgement
Overall, the industry visit was an educational and motivating experience for the CSE 4.2 students.
