      Candidates are selected for admission on the basis of their results in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examinations. While candidates should preferably have first division or equivalent grade in the above mentioned examinations, it is required that they have at least 50% marks or equivalent grade with higher marks / grades in Mathematics and Physics. A merit list based on the results is prepared to assign priorities to the candidates for admission.
